Facial plastic & reconstructive surgery

life experts aesthetic treatments_edited.jpg

The focus of treatment is on a natural result, in harmony with the rest of the face. Together, using 3D simulations, we explore what surgical and non-surgical treatments can do for you. The philosophy of preservation rhinoplasty, precision and natural results have taught me to look at the whole face this way and provide a nice cross-pollination in all aesthetic & reconstructive facial treatments. In the end, it's all about natural results, such as a more beautiful, less prominent nose that attracts less attention and suits your face - without losing your individuality.

FAQ
What is the price of a procedure?
The standard cost of an aesthetic treatment depends on several factors. At the consultation, after thorough analysis of your wishes, clinical examination and 3D simulation, an estimate is made of the nature, extent and requirements of the procedure. This determines the total cost, which consists of the surgeon's fee, operating room, materials, nurse's salary, anesthesiologist's fee, etc.
What is meant by superspecialization?
High degree of specialization ensures the best results. Each step in training, from doctor to ENT, head & neck surgeon to facial plastic surgeon provides additional knowledge and experience. Performing surgery only in the face gives you a distinct focus, anatomical knowledge and experience that I find essential to provide the best results.
Why ENT-, Head & Neck Surgery?
After graduating as a physician, the ENT-, head and neck surgery specialty training involves 5 years of medical and surgical experience in the anatomy and function of the nose, face and neck. Through experience with all types of nose, ear and neck surgery, we know the anatomy of blood vessels, nerves, etc inside and out. Attention to the functional aspect is also always very important, due to our base from functional surgery. After this broad base, additional surgical aesthetic & reconstructive training is done through an international fellowship. Following this, the International Board Examination must be passed and surgical activity & results are also evaluated. Only then can European and American recognition as an aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgeon with the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies follow.
What is "preservation rhinoplasty" / an ultrasonic rhinoplasty?
This new technique is aimed at preserving the important structural and natural elements of the nose. This gives the advantage of a more precise procedure with less damage to the important structures of the nose. In traditional techniques, the nose is first weakened and lowered, and only then reconstructed. With the preservation technique, I work from below on the bone and cartilage, preserving the natural lines of the nasal bridge. It provides a more natural result and faster recovery. The added value of the Piezotome (ultrasonic rhinoplasty) is additionally that there is less damage to the subcutaneous tissues, blood vessels and nerves so there is less trauma and recovery time is a lot faster. The philosophy of preservation, precision and natural results have taught me to look at the whole face this way and make for a nice cross-pollination in all aesthetic & reconstructive facial treatments.
Can I see the result of a procedure in advance?
During the consultation, I routinely use the latest advanced techniques in 3D simulations. Using specific software and some targeted photographs, a detailed 3D model of the face is created, accurately showing volumes and proportions. Together, we can then discuss the various surgical options, after which these options are visually simulated. This provides the opportunity to best match your expectations and wishes, and gives you a realistic picture of the expected outcome in advance. The images are always stored and used to prepare for surgery and to achieve the desired result during surgery. This method maximizes the chances of a successful surgery and increases patient satisfaction.
What are possible complications?
In any aesthetic procedure, safety comes first. I therefore consider it extremely important that patients are always well informed about the risks and possible complications as well as possible alternatives to surgery. This so-called “informed consent” is done verbally and on paper, where there is always time for questions and for everything to sink in.
