Dr Valerie Schutyser

After her medical studies at Ghent University, Dr Valerie Schutyser further specialised in gynaecology and obstetrics under the guidance of Professor Paul Devroey at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. There, she also did a subspecialisation in reproductive medicine and reproductive surgery, recognised by ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) and EBCOG (European board and college of Obsestrics and Gynaecology).

For eight years, she worked at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine (CRG) of UZ Brussel in Jette, where in recent years she was the clinic head responsible for reproductive surgery, repeated implantation failure, repeated miscarriage and surrogacy.

Since August 2021, she has opted for the fertility centre LIFE - Leuven Institute for Fertility and Embryology - the Reproductive Medicine Unit of Heilig Hart Hospital (URG/LIFE) in Leuven. This allows her to provide more personalised care for her patients, with professionalism at the centre. She continues to actively pass on her expertise in the VVOG endoscopy group, by giving training courses. In her research, she continues to work on projects on reproductive surgery and patient experience.
