Dr. Evert Baten

Dr Evert Baten is a general Urologist and staff member within the Hageland Urology Association.
In addition to preventive cancer screening (prostate and bladder tumors) and kidney stone problems, Dr. Baten is particularly interested in urological infections and benign prostate problems.
Dr Baten has completed a doctorate on urological infections and, as chairman of the Antibiotic Policy Groups of RZ Tienen, is very concerned with the problem of urological infections and antibiotic resistance. Dr Baten also specializes in laparoscopic and robot-assisted interventions in the surgical field.
He graduated Magna Cum laude within the Medicine course at KULeuven, before completing his clinical education within Urology at UZLeuven, Sint-Maria Halle, Jessa Hospital Hasselt and ZOL Genk.
Dr Baten also teaches at the UHasselt within the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences.
As an avid cyclist, Evert Baten is also interested in bicycle--related urological problems
