Alessa Sugihara is a general gynecologist and has a special interest in reproductive medicine and benign gynecology. She obtained her medical degree with great distinction from the University of Antwerp in 2013. During her studies, she also completed internships abroad, mainly in Montreal (Canada) and Santa Cruz (Bolivia).

She subsequently specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at the University of Antwerp and gained experience in several large centers including the University Hospital Antwerp, ZNA Middelheim, AZ KLINA in Brasschaat and the Amphia Hospital in Breda.

She was recognized as a gynecologist in 2019 and followed an additional specialization in reproductive medicine at the Antwerp University Hospital under the leadership of Prof. Dr. De Neubourg.
